The ACADEMIA EUROPAEA ELECTS NEW MEMBERS#

On the 24th of May, the Board of trustees were honoured to authorise the election to membership of 470 eminent international scholars. These scholars have been elected following a rigorous peer review process.

The distribution of new members elected across the four classes of the Academy is as follows:

Class of the Humanities (composed of 7 Sections) - 91 members elected
Class of the Social and Societal Sciences (6 Sections) - 70 members elected
Class of the Exact Sciences (5 Sections) - 111 members elected
Class of the Life Sciences (5 Sections) - 198 members elected
