Tbilisi Regional Knowledge Hub#

Academia Europaea and the Young Academy of Europe will formally launch a new Regional Knowledge Hub in Tbilisi (Republic of Georgia) on 24th April 2019.#

The President and members of the Board of Trustees together with invited members of Academia Europaea will be present to sign a cooperation agreement that establishes our fourth Regional Knowledge Hub, to be based at the Ivane Javakhishvili University in Tbilisi.

The launch event will take place in the presence of the President of the Republic, Her Excellency Ms Salome Zurabishvili, The Prime Minister, the honourable Mr Mamuka Bakhtadze, the Minister for Education, Science, Culture and Sport – Mikheil Batiashvili, the head of the Parliament Mr Irakli Kobakhidze, the Rector of the University Prof. G Sharvadshidze and the President of the Georgian Academy of Sciences, Prof. Roin Metreveli, plus members of the Academia Europaea and the wider academic community.

A one–day symposium will take place on Thursday 25th April to mark the event. A further symposium has been arranged on Neuroscience for September.
