Eva-Maria Kieninger - Biography#


Eva-Maria Kieninger studied law at the University of Passau and at King's College, London. During her studies she received the support of the Cusanus Foundation for highly talented students. After passing the First State Exam in Law at Passau in 1990 she moved to Augsburg where she passed the internship period until 1993 when she passed the Second State Exam in Munich. In both State Exams she received excellent grades. Her academic career started in Augsburg; it continued at the Free University of Berlin and at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law at Hamburg, before she was appointed as a full professor at the University of Wuerzburg. She has received further offers from other German universities which she rejected for family reasons, however; she is married and has two children.
