Consequences of Brexit for universities in Europe#

Academia Europaea President, Sierd Cloetingh, gave the introductory talk at a panel discussion at the Free University in Berlin, entitled The European landscape after Brexit: the European perspective. The distinguished panel included Sir Ivor Crewe, Master at University College Oxford, and Barbara Ischinger, the former Director of Education and Skills at the OECD. Professor Cloetingh’s talk drew partly on material from the Academia Europaea Cardiff Hub, which hosted its own event on the topic in November 2016, The Future of UK Research and Scholarship.
