When science meets the field: experts and practitioners explore how AI is transforming crisis management, from early warning to emergency response. The webinar is part of the ongoing dissemination efforts on AI in Crisis Management organized by the Scientific Advice Mechanism to the European Commission.

The webinar will feature the key findings of the work, followed by real-world perspectives from the German Red Cross and VOST Portugal, and a panel discussions with all experts, including a Q&A at the end.

About the Advisors#

The Group of Chief Scientific Advisors is part of the Scientific Advice Mechanism (SAM). Their role is to provide high-quality, timely and independent scientific advice to the College of European Commissioners on any subject, including on policy issues that the European Parliament and the Council consider to be of major importance. By informing decision-making, the Group contributes to the quality of EU policy making and legislation. Several of the present members of the Group of Chief Scientific Advisors are members of Academia Europaea.
