Brief biography:

Prof. Dr. Jinlong Zhang investigated the synthesis of fine chemicals at East China University of Science and Technology, where he received a PhD in Applied Chemistry in 1993. In 1996 he received the JSPS Fellowship (Japan) and started to conduct research at Osaka Prefecture University, Japan, as a postdoctoral researcher for four years. He came back to China in 2000 and then became a full professor in the same year.

He has published over 400 original papers in Nat. Comm.; Chem. Rev.; J. Am. Chem. Soc.; Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.; Energy & Environ. Sci. etc. cited ca 20000 times (H-index: 70. He was selected as the “Most Cited Chinese Researchers” in China by “Elsevier” in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Dr. Jinlong Zhang was also awarded as "Highly Cited Scientists" by Clarivate Analytics(Philadelphia, USA) in 2018.

He has served as the editor of ‘‘Res. Chem. Intermed.’’ (Springer) and the editorial boards of several international journals such as “Sci. Reports”, ‘‘Appl. Catal. B: Environ.’’, ‘‘Dyes and Pigments’’(2004 - 2015), and ‘‘Photo. Sci. Photochem’’.

His research interests focus on the photocatalysis related to the environment and clean energy issues using inorganic and organic nanomaterials and functionalization of mesoporous materials in the fields of the environmental science and materials science.
