Tom Wigley - Biography#

I have degrees in theoretical physics, and trained and worked as a meteorologist between my B.Sc. and Ph.D. After a period teaching at the University of Waterloo in Canada, I joined the Climatic Research Unit in 1975 and was Director from 1979 to 1993. I moved to the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, CO in 1993, but maintain an active association with UEA. I have been a member of Academia Europaea since 1991, Fellow of the American Meteorological Society since 2001, and Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science since 2002. I have published more than 250 papers in refereed journals and books, many of which are highly cited. I am on ISI’s Highly Cited Researchers List.
