Teaching:

Supervised 16 doctoral thesis, 74 MSc students, 16 Bachelor students

She headed the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMBB) at the Adam Mickiewicz University Poznan, Poland for 19 years. She build up the IMBB, recruited many excellent scientists and opened up new avenues for research like human molecular genetics and bioinformatics.

Awards

1. An honorable mention in the open competition for the Award of the Polish Society of Experimental Plant Biology and Carl Zeiss for the best experimental publication in the field of experimental plant biology published in years 2002-2004, 2005.

2. An award of the Polish Biochemical Society and Sigma for the best experimental publication with the research carried in Poland within the nucleic acids field, 2007.

3. An honorable mention in the open competition for the Award of the Polish Society of Experimental Plant Biology and Carl Zeiss for the best experimental publication in the field of experimental plant biology published in years 2009-2010, 2011.

4. An award of the Polish Genetics Society for the best paper published in plant genetics in 2012, 2013.

5. AMU Rector fellowships for scientists with the highest score of publications in 2012, 2013, 2014.

6. An award of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Division II: Biological and Agricultural Sciences), 2014.

7. The Life Achievement Award from the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education), 2016.

8. An honorable mention in the open competition for the Award of the Polish Society of Experimental Plant Biology for the best experimental publication in the field of experimental plant biology published in years 2019-2020.
