Profile

Dr. D. Sokoutis is Senior Researcher at the University of Utrecht, Director of the Tectonic Laboratory
(TecLab) and adjunct Professor at the University of Oslo. He received his Ph.D. (1988) at Uppsala
University, Sweden, in Tectonics and Geodynamics. He made his Postdoctoral studies at the University
of Rennes 1, addressing the problem of post orogenic collapse. Dr. Sokoutis has taught different
Bachelor, Master and Ph.D courses at the Universities of Uppsala, Sweden, Rennes I, France,
Florence, Italy, Thessaloniki, Greece and VU-University of Amsterdam.
