• In the years 2007, 2008 and 2009, Spanish daily newspaper El Mundo ranked Ramon Salaverría as one of “The 500 most influential Spaniards”; specifically, he was included in the Top 25 ranking of influential people in the area of the Internet and new technologies
• In 2012, the United Nations, through its United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) division, added Ramon Salaverría to the Global Experts directory, which presents 350 world specialists on several topics, designated according to their standing and accredited quality
• In 2015, Ramon Salaverría’s paper presented at the 2015 AEJMC Conference in San Francisco, USA, was awarded 2nd prize on the Latin American Research Awards (LARA) by the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC)
