Karine Nyborg - Biography#


Karine Nyborg is Professor of Economics at the University of Oslo. During 2012 and 2013 she was the President of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economics. She is currently an IZA Fellow, an Editorial Board member of the Review of Behavioral Economics, Chair of the Scientific Board of the Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics, and an Academic expert for Denmark’s Environmental Economic Council. In 2002 she won the Erik Kempe Award 2002 (biannual prize for best European paper in environmental and resource economics). She has been a member of several Government-appointed expert commissions. Her research interests include environmental economics, behavioral economics, economic analysis of social and moral norms. She is also a fiction writer.
