Ailbhe Ní Chasaide - Biography#


Ailbhe Ní Chasaide is Professor in Phonetics in Trinity College Dublin. She set up Trinity’s Phonetics & Speech Laboratory, and leads a research group, which has collaborated in funded projects in Europe and nationally. Her research focuses on (i) the human voice, how it conveys linguistic and affective prosody and how to capture this in synthetic speech, and (ii) Irish prosodic structure, linguistic resources, speech technology and applications for the Irish dialects.
