José Alberto Molina - Biography#


José Alberto Molina (https://personal.unizar.es/jamolina) is Full Professor of Economics (University of Zaragoza, Spain) since 2012.

JA Molina is Research Fellow in IZA (Institute of Labour Economics, Germany) and in GLO (Global Labor Organization, The Netherlands). He has been Visiting Fellow at Warwick University (UK), at the University of Rhode Island (USA) and at the Boston College (USA).

Professor Molina is international reviewer of JCR journals, of research projects and grants, and of doctoral theses. He is currently Associate Editor of a number of JCR journals. The main research area of Professor Molina is microeconomics and, particularly, population economics, labour economics and well-being, with recent specific interest in inter-generational transfers and mobility. José Alberto Molina has been the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies of the University of the University of Zaragoza during a decade (2005-2015), and the President of the Spanish Association of Deans of Economic and Business Studies (2009-2011). Professor Molina is ranked in the top 2% of Economists in Spain (IDEAS-RePEc) and in the top 4% of Economists in the world (IDEAS-RePEc).

My main research area is economics and, particularly, population and family economics, labour economics and well-being. I have specific interest in intra-household allocation and inter-generational transfers, as well as in the labor supply of individuals and the measure of well-being indicators. I am also working on demographic issues of the population, as well as on urban mobility problems. My approach is both theoretical on the basis of the microeconomic models, ande quantitative by using econometrics methods. From my empirical approach, I usually work with European and American (North-America and Latin American Countries) data
