Miodrag J. Mihaljevic - Biography#


Miodrag J. Mihaljevic has received his B.Sc. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from University of Belgrade, Serbia (Yugoslavia), and received his Ph.D. degree in 1990. He is a Research Professor and the projects leader at the Mathematical Institute, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Belgrade.

He has held long-term visiting positions as Visiting Researcher or Invited Senior Research Scientist or Visiting Foreign Professor at the following institutions: the University of Tokyo, IMAI Lab (1997-2001 and 2004-2005), Sony Computer Science Labs (2001-2002), Sony Corporation Labs (2002-2003), Tokyo, the Research Center for Information Security (RCIS), National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Tokyo, Japan (2006-2012), Research Institute for Secure Systems (RISEC), National Institute AIST, Tsukuba, Japan (2012-2013), and the Chuo University, IMAI Lab., Tokyo, Japan (2013-2014).

His main research areas are cryptology and information security, and his list of achievements include over 100 research references published in the leading international journals, book series and conference proceedings (including over 50 papers in IEEE journals, Journal of Cryptology, Phys. Rev. A, Computing, IET Information Security, Inform. Process. Letters, LNCS, IEICE Transactions), and over 200 publications in total. He is inventor of 6 granted patents in U.S, Japan and China. Notably, in over 90%, Dr. Mihaljevic is the first author, i.e. the main contributor, of the published references.
