Steffen Mau - Biography#

Steffen Mau is Professor of Macrosociology at Humboldt University Berlin. Previously, he was Professor of Political Sociology and Comparative Research at the University of Bremen and Researcher at the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin fuer Sozialforschung (WZB). His main areas of research are analyses of social structure and social transformations. He has paid particular attention to the formation of a European social configuration and to the increasing use of quantified information to understand social positions and processes.
