Evžen Kočenda - Biography#


Graduated in 1985 from the Prague School of Economics in International Trade Management. M.A. in Economics from the University of Toledo, Ohio in 1992. Graduate studies in Economics at the University of Houston, Texas with a Ph.D. degree in 1996. Since 2004 Full Professor of Economics. Current affiliation: Charles University in Prague, Institute of Economic Studies, Chair of the Department of Finance and Director of Graduate Studies. Research Fellow at the CESifo (Munich) and IOS (Regensburg), and EABCN. Expert assessment and consulting for European Commission, World Bank, CESifo, Czech National Bank, Czech Government. Member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Comparative Economics (2004-2006), Economic Systems (2009-2013), Emerging Markets Finance and Trade (2019-2020), and Eastern European Economics (2017-present). Co-editor of the Czech Journal of Finance and Economics (since 2014). Main areas of research include applied econometrics, international finance and European integration.
