Shuanggen Jin - Biography#

Shuanggen Jin is Vice-President and Professor at Henan Polytechnic University and Professor at Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, CAS, China. He received the B.Sc degree in Geodesy from Wuhan University in 1999 and the Ph.D degree in Geodesy from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2003. From 2004 to 2018, he has been a Visiting Fellow at University of New South Wales, Australia, Post-Doc and Senior Scientist at Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, Professor at Korea University of Science and Technology, Research Fellow at University of Texas at Austin, USA, Professor at Bulent Ecevit University, Turkey, and Dean & Professor at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, China. He was elected as Fellow of African Academy of Sciences (2022), Fellow of Electromagnetics Academy (2021), World Class Professor of Ministry of Education and Cultures, Indonesia (2021), Member of Turkish Academy of Sciences (2020)，Member of Academia Europaea (2019), Fellow of International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) (2019), Member of European Academy of Sciences (2018), Member of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (2017), and Fellow of International Association of Geodesy (IAG) (2011).

Prof. Jin mainly contributes to the scientific areas of Satellite Navigation, Space Geodesy, Remote Sensing, Environmental Change and Space/Planetary Exploration as well as its applications. He has published over 500 papers in JGR, IEEE, EPSL, GJI, Icarus, JG etc, including over 300 peer-reviewed SCI/ISI journal papers, 100 EI (Engineering Index) papers and 10 books/monographs, with more than 13000 citations and H-index of over 60 according to Google Scholar as well as 30 patents/software copyrights and over 100 invited talks. He is principal investigator of 30 conducted research projects from Europe’s ESA, Australia’s ARC, China-Germany (NSFC-DFG) and China’s National Key R&D Program and NSFC. His works have been highly and widely recognized in the world. He has received Hundred-Talent Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2010), Fu Chengyi Award of Chinese Geophysical Society (2012), Second Prize of Hubei Natural Science Award (2012), Distinguished Young Scientist Award of Scientific Chinese (2013), Liu Guangding Geophysical Youth Science & Technology Award (2013), Xia Jianbai Entrepreneurship & Innovation Award of Geomatics (2014), Second Prize of Shanghai Science & Technology Progress Award (2014), First Prize of Satellite Navigation and Positioning Progress Award (2017), and First Prize of China Overseas Chinese Contribution Award (2018).
