2025–2031 — Romanian Centre of Excellence on Biodiversity, Ecosystem Services and Society (RECOVER) Funder: Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI). Budget: €20,000,000. Accepted for funding at the time of drafting (10.01.2025). Negotiations from October will establish the final amount of fund.

2025–2027 — Developing a social-ecological niche theory to leverage human–large carnivore coexistence (SESCARNIVORE) Funder: UEFISCDI. Budget: €239,940. Project started; two manuscripts under review as of 22 Sep 2025.

022–2024 — The wood-pastures of Romania: ecology, agricultural perspectives, and sustainable integration into cultural landscape management Funder: Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU), contract 51/09/03/2022. Budget (UBB): €68,000.

2016–2019 — Sustaining Agricultural Change Through Ecological Engineering and Optimal Use of Natural Resources (STACCATO) Funder: BiodivERsA via CCCDI–UEFISCDI; project code ERA-FACCE-STACCATO-3. Budget: €53,766.

2012–2013 — The ecological and cultural values of ancient wood-pastures in Transylvania, Romania Funder: Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung (postdoctoral fellowship).
