- 2024 Prize Premio Internazionale Cherasco Storia (Cherasco, Italy)
- 2023 Palmes Académiques, awarded by the President of the Republic of France
- 2023 The French edition, published in 2023, of her book La Horde: comment les Mongols ont changé le monde was awarded the Grand Prix of the Rendez-Vous de l’Histoire yearly conference held at Blois, the « Prix des libraires Payot, catégorie essai » (Lausanne, Switzerland) and the Prix Guy Lasserre awarded by the Bordeaux Academy of Sciences and Arts. The book has also been translated into Italian and Spanish
- 2021 Friendship Medal awarded by the President of the Republic of Mongolia
- 2021 - 2022 The book’s original English edition The Horde: How the Mongols Changed the World was a finalist for the 2021 Cundill History Prize (Montreal, Canada) and was also a finalist in the world history category of the 2022 Prose Awards by the Washington-based Association of American Publishers. Several publications included it on lists of the best history and non-fiction books of 2021, including writer Stephen L. Carter for «The Washington Post», and historian Peter Frankopan for «The Spectator»
- 2014 - 2019 : Research Associate to the ERC funded 5-year research project « Nomadic Empires: A World-Historical Perspective », chaired by Finnish professor Pekka Hämäläinen and based at the Rothermere American Institute and the Faculty of History of the University of Oxford
