The most important achievement is a series of papers published between 2014 and 2022 relative to coopetition strategies. Five of those have reached 100+ citations, covering topics such as: systematic literature review, managing coopetition, trust in establishing coopetitive ties, and the behavioral antecedents of coopetition. Recently his trending works are relative to innovation ecosystems and entrepreneurial failure.

Journal of Business Research, 157, 113573 - this paper develops the first comprehensive measurement scale with established psychometric properties that helps measure individual manager's myopia.

Strategic management and myopia: challenges and implications, Routledge, London - this book outlines the theoretical roots of managerial myopia, its individual-team-organization-stakeholder level antecedents, and outlines several useful ways of addressing this potentially harmful phenomenon.

3. Czakon, W., Jedynak, P., & Konopka-Cupiał, G. (2022). Trust-and distrust-building mechanisms in academic spin-off relationships with a parent university. Studies in Higher Education, 47(10), 2056-2070 - this work transcends the somewhat naive assumption that academics willing to establish an Academic Spin-Off are either trusting the parent university or distrusting it.

European Management Journal, 40(3), 320-331 - this study shows a set of factors preferred by managers when striving for long-term performance versus a strive for short-term performance.

Designing coopetition for radical innovation: An experimental study of managers' preferences for developing self-driving electric cars. Technological Forecasting and Social Change, 155, 119992 - we demonstrate in this study that individual managers have a prefence for collaborating with competitors that is not observable in real-life circumstances.

7. Czakon, W., Klimas, P., & Mariani, M. (2020). Behavioral antecedents of coopetition: A synthesis and measurement scale. Long Range Planning, 53(1), 101875 - this paper develops a parsimonious scale to capture whether an individual manager has a behavioral disposition towards entering collaboration with competitors.

8. Czakon, W., & Czernek-Marszałek, K. (2021). Competitor perceptions in tourism coopetition. Journal of Travel Research, 60(2), 312-335 - in this study we establish that categorization matters for coopetition entry decisions, that is if managers categorize others as competitors then they are not considering collaboration, and inversely if others are perceived in a rich social framework, this opens ways for coopetition.

9. Czakon, W., Kawa, A. (2018). Network myopia: An empirical study of network perception. Industrial Marketing Management, 73, 116-124 - in this study we establish the extent and the degree of myopic perception logistics managers have.

10. Czakon, W., Czernek, K. (2016), The role of trust-building mechanisms in entering into network coopetition: The case of tourism networks in Poland, Industrial Marketing Management, vol. 57, 64-74 - in this work we find that the reasons for entering network coopetition are related to trust in a very different way as compared to reasons in entering dyadic coopetition.
