Felix Creutzig - Biography#


Felix Creutzig (>21000 citations, h-factor 63 at google scholar) is heading the group "Land-use, Infrastructures and Transport" at the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC). He is Chair of Sustainability Economics of Human Settlements, Technical University Berlin, Coordinating Lead Author of the IPCC's AR6 in Working Group III, writing on Demand, Services, and Social Aspects of Mitigation (next to other services for the IPCC and similar assessments). He acquired funding for a novel Einstein Center Climate Change Public Policy of Human Settlements that is dedicated to the science policy interface at the level of cities and subnational administrations. In the hot list of the world’s top 1000 climate scientists, he is listed 104, and his outstanding contribution to the discipline has been recognized by the Piers Sellers Prize. Previous job locations include the University of California, Berkeley, Princeton Environmental Institute, Beijing Energy Foundation, and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He holds a PhD in Computational Neuroscience, and graduated with a Master in Advanced Studies from the University of Cambridge.
