Neil Champness - Curriculum Vitae#


Champness has established himself as a leader in the field of supramolecular chemistry, a position which has been recognised by a number of awards (see 1.14). He has spent most of his career in Nottingham, UK (see 1.12) where he has established a research group that focusses on the development of extended framework materials using intermolecular interactions. In addition to recognition described elsewhere on this form the following details are provided (a full CV including a full publication list has been sent to the chair of the section as requested).

Conference Presentations: A total of 81 Conference Lectures and 56 Invited University Lectures since 1998, including presentations given across six continents including 49 Plenary (PL) or Keynote (KL) lectures since 2010.

Publications and Patents

Total of over 275 research papers or review articles and three patents; see full list separate document. H-index – 77 (04/2020, Scopus), I100 = 59, more than 22,000 citations. In 2011 identified as one of the top 100 most cited chemists of the previous decade worldwide. Designated a Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher in 2014-2016.
