19-20th centuries, social and economic history of Europe, including contemporary Europe; Central and Eastern Europe; economic modernization, problems of European backwardness; complex - economic, social, ideological, and cultural - history of Central and Eastern Europe in the 19th-20th Century; post-World War II economic problems of Central and Eastern Europe; social, economic and political problems of the region.
