Research
A great deal of our research wok in Strasbourg was dedicated to the field of Nuclear Molecules and to the study of Molecular Resonances since the early 80's; we have edited last year the first volume of a new Series of Lecture Notes in Physics text books entitled “Cluster in Nuclei” (2-3 forthcoming books will appear in the 2012-2014 period).

During the three-year period (2006-2008) I spent in Argonne National Laboratory (USA), we have discovered the key role of Asymmetric Fission in Light Ions Decays and, a Physics Report has been published in the mid 90's on this hot topic. The last decade, very important experiments have been undertaken at the VIVITRON Tandem facility of the IReS Strasbourg by the time that the multidetector gamma-ray array EUROBALL was coupled with the ancilliary Binary Recoil Spectrometer: properties of exotic decay processes such as ternary fission and breakup (incomplte) fusion below the Coulomb barrier were elucidated. Following these pioneering works, similar investifations took place in Brazil, India, and, more recently, in China.

At the University of Strasbourg we have a long standing tradition to organize not only well known International Conferences/Workshops (Cluster and Nucleus-Nucleus Conferences, Vivitron and State-of-the Art Workshops …) but also Theoretical Winter Schools (the next one will be organized in Deccembre,2011 with a special emphaisis on Nuclear Reactions).

My expertise in Nuclear Reactions studies lead me also the pleasure to be nominated as member of several International Progamme Advisory Committees and of International Advisrory Committees of famous Nuclear Physics Conferences (Nucleus-Nucleus Conferences, Fusion Conferences, SOTANCP workshops, FINUSTAR conference, EXON Conferences etc...).
