Felix Wieland is a world-leading scientist in the field of vesicular transport. Major discoveries: kinetics of bulk flow through the secretory path, discovery of COP proteins, in vitro assays for generation of COP-coated vesicles and quantitative lipid analysis of vesicles.

Felix Wieland has developed a significant European activity with respective of developing FEBS Letters as European life science journal.
