  • Government Awards for Research Achievements
    • 2018 The Award for Science and Technology Progress of Jiangsu Province, for Electric Vehicle Charging/Discharging Optimization and Control Technology, awarded by the Government of Jiangsu Province, China. Professor Song led a research team in China to conduct the pioneer research work on electric vehicle to power grid problem. He proposed the strategies for optimal schedule and control of electric vehicle charging/discharging to flatten the daily load profile and secure operation of bulk power systems. Five published papers have been cited more than 200 times in China and abroad.
    • 2017 The Ministry of Education of China Award for Science and Technology Progress, for Optimization and Control Theory of Demand-side Flexible Resources in Renewable Power Systems. Professor Song proposed optimization and control methodologies of the demand-side flexible resources in renewable energy power systems, thus providing a new way to promote renewable energy consumption capability of modern power system.
