  • In 2020 - 2021, after a highly selective process, Thomas Pradeu joined Stanford University for one academic year as a Fellow at the prestigious Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS)
  • Since 2017 Coordinator of the Philosophy in Biology and Medicine (PhilInBioMed) international network.
  • Since 2017 CNRS Research Director in Philosophy of Science, affiliated with the Bordeaux immunology lab (ImmunoConcept)
  • From 2008 to 2014, Thomas Pradeu was an Associate Professor in Philosophy at Paris-Sorbonne University, where he got a prestigious position at the Institut Universitaire de France. Starting from 2014, he became a CNRS researcher to devote all his time to research activities. He thus became an “embedded philosopher” in a leading immunology lab, namely the ImmunoConcept lab in Bordeaux. He founded in 2014 the Conceptual Biology and Medicine team at ImmunuConcept, which he has led ever since. This interdisciplinary and international team now gathers more than 20 members, 6 of whom are permanent members. Thomas Pradeu is also the founder and coordinator of the Philosophy in Biology and Medicine international network (PhilInBioMed), a network that gathers 14 internationally renowned institutions around the world.
