Rita Levi-Montalcini#


Since the death of Joseph Rotblats 2005, Rita Levi-Montalcini was the oldest living Nobel Prize Laureate. Since May 4, 2008 she was at the same time the oldest Nobel Prize Laureate that ever lived (until now, Tadeusz Reichstein held this position). Since April 22, 2009 she was the first Nobel Laureate ever to reach a 100th birthday. Rita Levi-Montalcini passed away on December 30, 2012 at the age of 103.
