Invited speaker at academic/clinical conferences in more than 17 countries worldwide; e.g., Distinguished Lecture Series on Brain Learning and Memory, University of California Irvine (2006); International International Congress of Autism Europe (Oslo, 2007); International Meeting for Autism Research (London 2008); Asia Pacific Autism Conference (Sydney, 2009); keynote at opening of KIND, Karolinska Institute (2010). Co-convened Royal Society–British Academy Discussion Meeting ‘Talent and Autism’ (September 2008), and Evening Panel event (2009).

Public understanding of science

Regularly give talks for schools. Invited BAYS (British Association for Young Scientists) lecture at BAAS meeting (1999).

Supervision

Supervised >10 PhD students, now in prestigious posts (e.g., UCL, Yale, NIMH). Regularly examined UK and European PhDs. Mentored several post-doctoral fellows.
