Ewa Haman - Biography#
Ewa Haman is a full professor at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw (Poland) and the head of the MultiLADA Lab (https://multilada.pl/en



She has been Principal Investigator in research projects funded by Norway Grants (2019-2024), Visegrad Fund (2015 - 2016) and National Science Center (Poland; several grants from 2010 to 2024) and has been a collaborator in the MultiLing Centre of Excellence at the University of Oslo (2013 - 2023).
She supervised five PhD students at the University of Warsaw (2018-2021) and co-supervised one PhD student at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2023) (all defended).
She is a member of the Committee for Psychological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences (since 2024), a member of the Steering Board of LangView (the Consortium on Language Variation in Input Environments around the World) (since 2023), and a former member of the Executive Committee of IASCL (the International Association for the Study of Child Language, 2011 - 2017).
In 2021 she initiated the publication of the appeal "Bilingualism is the norm" addressed to Polish practitioners (speech therapists, clinical psychologists, etc.), signed by leading Polish researchers (psycholinguists, psychologists, linguists) and supported by international professional organisations and over 300 individual researchers from all over the world (bit.ly/apel-dwujezycznosc).
She also communicates research to lay audiences, e.g. she coordinated a project 'All about bilingualism' (PL: 'Wszystko o dwujęzyczności'; 2015 - 2016, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Poland), which created a media service for the Polish diaspora in Europe and the USA (the service published over 120 popular articles on various websites; editor-in-chief: Karol Chlipalski).
