Hugues Fulchiron - Biography#

Hugues Fulchiron, honorary president of the University Jean Moulin Lyon 3, is professor at the University Jean Moulin Lyon 3, where he leads the Center of family law. He is senior member of the Institut universitaire de France.

He is specialized in family law and private international law. He wrote with Philippe Malaurie a book about La Famille ( Defrénois ed., 6th éd. 2018) and edited or co-edited several books in family law (Mariage, conjugalité ; parenté, parentalité, Dalloz, 2011, Parenté, filiation, origine : le droit et l’engendrement à plusieurs, Bruylant ed., 2013, Vers un droit européen de la famille, Dalloz ed., 2014). He also published an Introduction au droit français (Lexis Nexis, 2016).

He has written numerous articles on family law, the protection of vulnerable people, EU and international family law, muslim families, nationality, immigration law and fundamental rights. He organized the 15th World Congress of the ISFL (Lyon , July 2011) whose papers have been published by Bruylant : Solidarity between generations, 2013).

Associated professor at the University of Luxemburg, he was visiting professor at the Université of Sao Paulo (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017), Laval (Québec, 2013) and Viena (2013).

President of the International Society of Family Law since 2017, he is member of the Comité français de droit international privé, of the Académie internationale de droit comparé, of the Société française de Législation comparée (President of the international family law section), of the Conseil scientifique of the Association Henri Capitant of Cambodia, corresponding member of the Argentinian Association of comparative law and of the Academia Nacional de Derecho y Ciencas sociales de Cordoba (Argentina) (Argentine), and Professor ad honorem of the Universidad catolica del Uruguay
