(2) Order and Chaos in Dynamical Astronomy, Springer Verlag 2002, reprinted 2004. (3) Adventures in Order and Chaos, Kluwer 2004. He was also editor of 12 Proceedings Volumes (6 published by the International Astronomical Union, and 3 by Springer Verlag) and author of 4 textbooks on Astronomy in Greek. There are over 6.500 citations to his work, and over 340 acknowledgements, in papers of various authors. He published also about 300 short papers, abstracts, reports, etc

Director, Astronomical Institute of the National Observatory of Greece 1975-1987; Director General, National Observatory of Greece 1990-1993. Executive Director of the Greek National Science Foundation 1978-1979. Dean of the Faculty of Sciences 1961-1962. Chairman, or Member of the Organizing Committees of about 30 international meetings. Vice President of the Greek National Committee of Astronomy 1957-1983, and 1992-1994. President of the Hellenic Astronomical Society (elected 1994, re-elected 1996).
