Göran Bolin - Curriculum Vitae#


Göran Bolin is professor of media and communication studies and a key scholar in the Nordic countries of Europe traversing cultural and social dimensions of media studies with a particular focus on ways in which digitization and marketization processes catalyse transformations in cultural production and consumption.

He has been a director of major research projects on e.g. violence in the media, youth and cultural production, entertainment television, media structure and use in the Baltic Sea region, he currently directs an international project on Nation Branding: The Nation as Community and Commodity in Eastern Europe (2013-2015).

His publication profile is marked by articles in highranking international journals in addition to two books in English and (co-)editorship and contributions to edited volumes in English and Swedish.
