Fraud alert: Phishing emails impersonating the Academy President#

The office of Academia Europaea has been made aware of a fraudulent email being sent to Members of our Academy. The email falsely claims to be from the President of the Academy and requests assistance. If you receive any suspicious messages:

  • Do not respond.
  • Do not click on any links or open attachments.

The sender of the mail is stated as: associationpresident8@gmail.com - this is a fake mail address which has nothing to do with the Academy.

Text of the fraudulent mail:

Greetings to you.

Trust you are doing well.

Are you available to help me carry out an urgent service?

Look forward to your reply for more details.
