Prof. Dr. Paola Caselli, member of the Earth and Cosmic Sciences section, was awarded the prestigious Karl Schwarzschild Medal 2025 by the German Astronomical Society (AG).

Prof. Christopher D. Clark is awarded the 2025 Ralph Alger Bagnold Medal by the European Geosciences Union for fundamentally advancing the understanding of glacial landscapes, landforms, and geomorphological processes.
