Jackline Wahba is a Professor of Economics at the University of Southampton. I am a member of the UK Migration Advisory Committee (MAC). I obtained my PhD in Economics from the University of Southampton. I am an economist with substantial experience in international migration and labour markets. I have published in several leading Economics journals. I lead the migration strand within the ESRC-funded Centre for Population Change (CPC) at Southampton.

I have acted as an advisor to several international organisations, including the EC, World Bank, and OECD. She is also a member of the Economic Research Forum Board of Trustees. I am a Research Fellow of ERF, IZA, and CReAM.
\\ \\
I am also a member of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Advisory Group on the UK in a Changing Europe. I am also a member of the Migration Observatory (Univ of Oxford) Expert Advisory Board.  I am the Managing Editor of the IZA Journal of Development and Migration.
