Michael Rössner, since 1991 Professor for Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese Literatures with a special focus on Latin American cultures at the LMU University of Munich. Teaching and lecturing since 1979 at the Universities of Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck and the Vienna University of Economics (Austria); the Universities of Querétaro (Mexico), Concepción (Chile), Buenos Aires (UBA) and Tucumán (Argentina), and the UFRGS in Porto Alegre (Brazil).\\

Joint editor of the journal IBEROROMANIA, as well of the book series TCCL (THEORY AND CRITICISM OF CULTURE AND LITERATURE) (Publisher: Olms) and JWR (Publisher: Böhlau).\\

Full Member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Member of the Accademia degli Incamminati (Italian Art Academy), Member of the Austrian PEN Centre, Chair of the European Pirandello-Centre (1988 - 2019), Director of the Institute for Culture Studies and History of Theatre of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (2009 - 2021).\\
