Prof. Qing-Hua Qin received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Xi’an Highway University, China, in 1982. He subsequently obtained his Master of Science degree (1984) and PhD (1990) in Applied Mechanics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China.\\
\\
He commenced his academic career at HUST in 1984 as a lecturer in the Department of Mechanics. After nearly a decade of teaching and research, he was awarded a prestigious DAAD/K.C. Wong Research Fellowship in 1994, which enabled a nine-month research visit to the University of Stuttgart, Germany. He then undertook postdoctoral research at Tsinghua University, China, where he worked until 1997.\\
\\
In 1997, he was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Fellowship by the Australian Research Council (ARC), followed by an ARC Professorial Fellowship in 2002. These appointments led to his position as a Professor in the Research School of Engineering at the Australian National University (ANU), where he served until December 2003.\\
\\
Prof. Qin has held several prestigious academic appointments, including Guest Professor at HUST (2000) and Changjiang (Yangtze River) Distinguished Professor at Tianjin University (2001), awarded by the Ministry of Education of China. He is currently affiliated with Shenzhen MSU-BIT University.\\

His research contributions in applied mechanics are extensive and internationally recognized. He has published over 470 peer-reviewed SCI-indexed journal papers and authored 9 monographs, including Mechanics of Cellular Bone Remodeling (CRC Press, 2013). He has been listed as an Elsevier China Highly Cited Scholar since 2022 and has been included in the Elsevier–Stanford University Top 2% Scientists worldwide list since 2020.\\

Prof. Qin has led 8 Australian Research Council (ARC) projects and 4 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects. He has supervised more than 30 PhD students and postdoctoral researchers, many of whom have gone on to become leading academics and senior R&D professionals in industry.\\
