*2024 Valued Colleague Award (together with Stephan Ripke) from the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium, for continued commitment to the consortium
*2021 Mensa Foundation Prize, which is awarded biennially for the best scientific discovery in the field of intelligence or creativity
*2020 Elected as a member of the Royal Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities (KHMW). The KHMW is the oldest learned society in the Netherlands. Membership is awarded on the basis of scientific and scholarly achievement, members are appointed for life
*2019   Lodewijk Sandkuijl award from the Dutch Society of Human Genetics for a researcher who has a proven substantial track record in fields of statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology and the genetic investigation of complex diseases
