Rupert Lanzenberger (1964) studied Biology, Psychology and Medicine at the University of Vienna, graduated in Medicine (M.D.) from the Medical University of Vienna in 1998 and was a Postdoctoral Fellow in several leading research units, including the Boltzmann Institute for Functional BrainTopography (Austria) and the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI), Brisbane, Australia. He obtained his P.D. in 2010, and directed the leading multimodal neuroimaging (PET/fMRI) unit focused on psychiatric disorders in Austria from 2005 to present. He is a full professor in Clinical Neuroscience. R. Lanzenberger is using translational, molecular &\\

multimodal neuroimaging including Positron Emission Tomography (PET, fPET & MicroPET), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (sMRI, fMRI, phMRI, phfMRI, DWI) to investigate treatment effects in psychiatric and neurological diseases and to develop prediction markers. He was recognized  as worldwide top 1% of scholars in Serotonin research ranked by PubMed-based Expertscape in 2021.\\

He served on Scientific Committees (ERC Consolidator Grant panel, Medical Research Council / MRC PET neuroscience specialist postdoc training programme Panel, organizing committees of conferences, etc.), Editorial Boards of top journals (NeuroImage, International Journal of Neuropsychopharmacology, etc.), International Scientific Programme Committee (WFSBP 2015, CINP 2015 – 2022, etc.), and Reviewer for Research Organisations and Funding Organisations (ERC, DFG, NOW, HRB, ISF, MRC, DASTI, Wellcome Trust, UMFRF, OMHF, AKA, GACR, Helmholtz Gemeinschaft,  …) and research journals, frequent invited (key) speaker (>170 talks in >20 countries) at international conferences.
