Prof. Jiang received the MSc degree in Statistics from the University of Paris XI, Paris, in 1989 and the PhD degree in Automatic Control and Mathematics from the Ecole des Mines de Paris, Paris, in 1993. Ever since then, he has maintained strong ties with researchers across Europe through collaboration with researchers in Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands, UK.\\

Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and an Affiliate Professor in the Department of Civil and Urban Engineering at the Tandon School of Engineering, New York University, USA. He is internationally recognized as a key contributor to nonlinear small-gain theory that has found wide applications in analysis and synthesis of interconnected and nonlinear systems.  He is also well-known for his seminal work in robust adaptive dynamic programming and robust reinforcement learning for real-time safety-critical control applications.\\

Prof.  Jiang has been conducting world-leading research in the general fields of dynamical networks, nonlinear control theory, data-driven optimization,  reinforcement learning with applications to mechanical, information and biological systems.  In these fields, he has published over 500 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers with over 34300 citations in total and an h-index of 90 on Google Scholar. In addition, he has published six research monographs since 2011.\\

In view of Dr. Jiang's outstanding research achievements, he was elevated to IEEE Fellow in 2008, IFAC Fellow in 2013, CAA Fellow in 2017 and elected to Academia Europaea in 2021 and European Academy of Sciences and Arts in 2023. He is among the Highly Cited Researchers named by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thompson Reuters) and Stanford's Top 2% Most Highly Cited Scientists. He is serving as Deputy Editor-in-Chief for the IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica, and has served as Senior Editor, Subject Editor, Guest Editor and Associate Editor for numerous world-renowned journals including the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, Systems & Control Letters and European Journal of Control. He has given more than 20 plenary, semi-plenary and keynote speeches at major conferences and workshops.\\ \\
