[[Impact Factor: 6.308, Citations: WoS 122, Google 202]. This study established a new human brain atlas with connectional profiles, i.e., the Human Brainnetome Atlas(HBA). Many groups have followed the idea proposed in this paper to make continued contributions. Prof. George Paxinos pointed out that the HBA is a new chapter in brain cartography. The HBA was selected in the Top 10 Breakthroughs of Science and Technology of China and in 2016. The HBA was also selected as a part of 40 Milestone Achievements of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the last 40 years (1978-2018).

[[3]. Zhang Y., Fan L., Zhang Y., ..., Jiang T.* (2014) Connectivity-based parcellation of the human posteromedial cortex. Cerebral Cortex, 24:719-27. [[Impact Factor: 6.308, Citations: WoS 39, Google 53]. This study proposed a fine-grained anatomical parcellation method and the connectivity pattern of the human posteromedial cortex at a subtler level. Prof. Karl Zilles commented that such parcellation scheme of this region revealed good correspondence between connectivity-based parcellation and cytoarchitectonic atlas derived parcellation results.

[[Impact Factor: 6.308, Citations: WoS 42, Google 69]. This is the first study to parcellate the human temporal pole (TP) in vivo with its anatomical connectivity features. The findings are useful for understanding brain functions and the malfunctions induced by brain diseases. Prof. Marcel Mesulam commented that this study began to unravel the principles of organization in the anterior temporal lobe that were applicable to various diseases.

This study proposed a new framework, the Brainnetome, to integrate multi-level network features obtained with various sequencing and neuroimaging technologies on different scales. It has been applied to illuminate the basic rules of brain structural and functional organization, information processing mechanisms of the brain networks and the abnormalities of brain networks in brain diseases.

[[6]. Liu B., Zhang X., Hou B., ..., Jiang T.* (2014): The impact of MIR137 on dorsolateral prefrontal-hippocampal functional connectivity in healthy subjects. Neuropsychopharmacology, 39:2153-2160. [[Impact Factor: 6.544, Citations: WoS 32, Google 46]. This study for the first time revealed impact of a variant of microRNA 137 (MIR137) on dorsolateral prefrontal-hippocampal (DLPFC-HF) functional connectivity and cognitive performance in healthy subjects. The findings here identified potential neural mechanisms linking MIR137 with the risk of developing schizophrenia via the intermediate phenotype of DLPFC-HF connectivity.\\

[[7]. Li J., Liu Y., Qin W., …, Jiang T.* (2013): Age of onset of blindness affects brain anatomical networks constructed using diffusion tensor tractography. Cerebral Cortex, 23:542-51. [[Impact Factor: 6.308, Citations: WoS 32, Google 33]. This is the first study to investigate how age of onset of blindness affects brain anatomical networks constructed using diffusion tensor tractography. It demonstrated that visual experience during an early period of development is critical for establishing an intact efficient anatomical network in the human brain.

[[8]. Song M., Yang Y., He J., ..., Jiang T.* (2018): Prognostication of Chronic Disorders of Consciousness Using Brain Functional Networks and Clinical Characteristics. Elife, 7, pii: e36173. doi: 10.7554/eLife.36173. [[Impact Factor: 7.616]. This paper proposed a novel prognostic model that combines resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging with three clinical characteristics to predict one year outcomes at the single-patient level. It can predict the one year outcome of disorders of consciousness patients at an individual level with an accuracy of around 88% on three independent datasets. \\

Neuroimage, 124:300-309.[[Impact Factor: 5.426, Citations: WoS 11, Google 12]. This study proposed a novel method for brain atlasing called meta-analytic activation modeling-based parcellation. The method is a powerful tool for uncovering the functional organization of the human brain.

This study for first time shown that the efficiencies of functional networks decreased in schizophrenia and that the duration of illness is inversely correlated with the efficiency of their brain networks. These findings provide important insights into the impaired information processing in schizophrenia.
