I have received numerous research awards and grants for collaborative European research projects. I served on many internal Israeli academic committees as well as International committees, such as the Leeds International Medieval Congress steering committee, and the ERC Advanced Grants programme (SH6) and ERC Horizon 2020 programme (CULT-COOP-05). I served on a significant number of Editorial boards for medieval history monograph series as well as academic journals, and is the founding Editor and General Editor of the series Cultural Encounters in Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages (Brepols, Turnhout) (since 2000). I am active as a peer reviewer for projects as well as many monographs and journals.
