Kathrin Golda-Pongratz is an architect, urban researcher and photographer based in Barcelona. She holds a diploma from TU München and a PhD from Universität Karlsruhe, having developed extensive research in Mexico City and Lima/ Peru. She is a professor of international urbanism at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, where she teaches within the international Master programme "Urban Agglomerations". She is a lecturer at Universitat Ramón Llull and Universitat Internacional de Catalunya in Barcelona and a visiting professor at Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería in Lima/ Peru. Her research focuses on contemporary urban history, urbanization and globalization processes, Hispano American urbanism and (anonymus) architecture, urban memory, urban renewal and placemaking strategies. Her recent book "Landscapes of Pressure – Paisajes de Presión" was published in 2014, based on a photographic solo exhibition under the same title shown at the Fundació Miró Museum in Barcelona.
