Ádám Gali is an experienced and internationally recognized leading researcher in the electronic structure of solids and in theoretical magneto-optical spectroscopy. He is a recipient of the Gold Cross of Merit of the Republic of Hungary, an MTA Talentum Award laureate, and a former Lendület (Momentum) and Élvonal research group leader. He has played a key role in the development and application of new methods for the accurate calculation of magneto-optical spectra of solids. He has achieved world-class results in the prediction and identification of single-photon sources and solid-state qubits. These results have been published in leading journals such as Nature Materials and Physical Review X, including papers that ranked among the ten most cited articles in their respective research fields in the years following publication.\\

He has delivered more than 90 invited talks, including lectures attended by a Nobel Prize–winning scientist, as well as a featured plenary presentation at a March Meeting of the American Physical Society.\\

He places strong emphasis on training and mentoring the next generation of researchers. He developed an independent university course and has supervised numerous undergraduate research students, MSc students, and PhD graduates, primarily at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), where his contributions were recognized with an appointment as a Professor. His scientific activity has proven to be school-forming: he has built and led a highly successful research group and launched the careers of many outstanding young researchers, including recipients of the MTA Lendület Program, the Junior Prima Award, the Bolyai Research Scholarship, the MTA Young Researchers’ Award, and researchers recognized as a finalist of the Volker Heine Prize.\\
