!!Paolo Fornasiero - Biography
\\
The scientific interests of Professor Paolo Fornasiero are in the field of inorganic chemistry, with attention to the design and development of multi-functional metal-oxide nano-systems for their advanced applications in energy related material science and environmental heterogeneous catalysis. He dedicated special attention to the design of stable and selective core-shell heterogeneous catalysts for methane emission control as well as in the development of well-defined nanocrystals as model and active photocatalysts for green hydrogen production. Single atom and metal free catalysts, photocatalysts and electrocatalyst for small molecules activation and organic synthesis are his most recent interests.\\
\\
He is co-author of 280 publications on international Journals (including 3 Science, 1 Nature Energy, 2 Nature Communications, 3 Energy Environmental Sciences, 2 Chem. Review, 10 JACS, 1 PNAS, etc..), 19 book chapters, 4 patents\\
\\
His publications received over 23000 total citations (Scopus) 31.000 (GoogleScholar) since 1994\\
\\
4 papers received over 1000 citations, 24 papers with over 200 citations, 45 papers over 100 citations, and 11 are highly cited papers accordingly to WoS\\

\\
Fornasiero has been and is PI or Local PI of various competitive grants including EU 2020 and FP7 project, Italy-China, Italy-India, Italy-Argentina bilateral projects, MIUR-PRIN and FISR National Grants.\\
\\
Professor Fornasiero combines his environmental research interests with his outreach attitude, being involved with projects at high school level and with the local/national community. Furthermore, he acted / acts with international organizations such as the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (hosting researchers from developing countries, with involvement in visiting, teaching and capacity building transfer) or The Word Accademia of Sciences to promote seeds projects in transitional countries.\\ \\
