Dr Elina holds a senior academic position at the Vavilov Institute for the History of Science and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. She obtained the title of full "Doktor Nauk" in 2008 after completing a second major thesis (the Russian equivalent of a "habilitation" in German-speaking academia). \\
