*Since 2021 Elected director of the Earth Sciences section of the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona.
*2020 Co-recipient of the European Archaeological Heritage Prize of the European Association of Archaeologists (EAA) to the SPLASHCOS project (Submerged Prehistoric Landscapes and Archaeology of the Continental Shelf) 
*2019-2022 Elected and serving as co-chair of the EC’s Technical Group on Seabed (TG SEABED) for the practical implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD, Descriptors 1 on Biological diversity, benthic, and 6 on Seafloor integrity), in all European seas
