!!XXXII Premi Internacional Catalunya\\Announcement

!Presentation

The Generalitat of Catalonia created the Premi Internacional Catalunya in 1989, with three clear objectives: to recognize and stimulate creators, to bring to the Catalan people models of the highest quality and exigency in all aspects, and to place Catalonia in the arena of the great
international awards.
\\ \\
The Premi Internacional Catalunya is given annually to persons who have contributed decisively to the development of cultural, scientific or human values.
\\ \\
Institutions from all over the world and the members of the Jury may propose candidatures until April 3d 2020, in
accordance with the bases published next.

!Basis

1. The __Premi Internacional Catalunya__ is awarded annually by the Generalitat of Catalonia.
\\ \\
2. The Jury of the __Premi Internacional Catalunya__ is made up of noteworthy personalities from the world of science, economics, arts and culture.
\\ \\
3. Any person whose creative work has made a significant contribution to the development of cultural, scientific or human values any where in the world may be nominated for the __Premi Internacional Catalunya__.
\\ \\
4. Nominations for the __Premi Internacional Catalunya__ may be made by academies, cultural or research centres and other similar institutions, or by the members of the Jury, and they should include the candidate’s curriculum vitae. Submissions for 2020 may be received until April 3d 2020, and they should preferably __be submitted by
the electronic means of gencat Procedures (tramits.gencat.cat)__. Nevertheless, they can be presented in paper format, addressed to the Department of the Presidency (Sant Honorat Street, 1-3, 08002 Barcelona).

5. __The Premi Internacional Catalunya__ may not be awarded posthumously.
\\ \\
6. The __Premi Internacional Catalunya__ may only be granted to a single individual, except in those cases in which the Jury establishes a justification for awarding it jointly to more than one person.
\\ \\
7. The Premi Internacional Catalunya must be awarded to the winner at a ceremony presided over the President of the Generalitat of Catalonia, to which members of the Jury are convoked.
\\ \\
8. __The XXXII Premi Internacional Catalunya__ is endowed with an award of 8o.ooo euros and the sculpture “The Key and the Letter” of Antoni Tàpies.

In accordance with current legislation on data protection, the personal data
included in the candidatures submitted to the XXXII Premi Internacional Catalunya
will be included in the treatment “International Prizes of the Department of the
Presidency”, which responsible is the General Secretariat of the Department of
the Presidency and which purpose is collecting and managing the data of the
candidatures received and of the proposing institutions. The detailed treatment
information, including the exercise of the rights of the interested parties, is
available at the address http://presidencia.gencat.cat/ca/detalls/Article/Premisdel-
Departament-de-la-Presidencia. For its part, people or entities proposing
candidates will treat the personal data to which they have access in accordance
with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the Parliament and of the Council, of 27 April
2016.
