On 2nd September 2026, the Academia Europaea [Budapest Knowledge Hub|https://mta.hu/aebudapest] organized an [online event|Acad_Main/Budapest_Knowledge_Hub_Events/Widening European Participation in ERC Grants] to discuss possibilities of Widening European participation in European Research Council (ERC) grants. The event featured a keynote introductory speech by Prof. [Maria Leptin|Member/Leptin_Maria] MAE, (President of the ERC) presenting the white paper of the ERC working group on Widening European participation. The successful event was attended by about 150 participants.__
